Fin-tastic news!
We’re delighted to announce that our work has been recognised in SEVEN categories at the prestigious Shark Awards.
Taking place on the south coast of Ireland every September, The Kinsale Sharks Festival celebrates and awards the very best in Irish and international creativity, including advertising, design, digital, short films, music video and lots more.
We’re chuffed to bits of course, but award nominations are a big deal for our clients too.
“Why’s that?” (we hear you ask).
Well, there’s a direct link between creatively-awarded campaigns and long-term brand success.
If you’d like to know more about this, we have a whole blog dedicated to the subject here.
Now, let’s talk nominations.
First up, new kids on the block Fibrus have been making waves in the broadband scene.
We’ve loved working with this new client this year, especially helping them bring to life everyone’s favourite bufferfish (aka Buffy).
Ironic as it is, our work with Fibrus on Buffy the Bufferfish is up for the following Shark award…
Film Craft – Character Animation
Our ‘Portions’ campaign created with Public Health Agency NI employed a playful tone to encourage people to eat smaller portions of food for the sake of their health (and buttons).
It’s been shortlisted for:
Integrated – Best campaign using 3 or more media formats
We’ve saved the best ‘til last.
The attention grabbing and somewhat unsettling ‘Smoking Laws’ campaign created alongside Public Health Agency NI has scooped up a phenomenal five nominations.
Advertising Film – Campaign with 3 or more executions
Film Craft – Best CGI / Visual Effects
Print / Outdoor – Campaign with 3 or more executions
Print / Outdoor – Art Direction
Print / Outdoor – Image Manipulations

Best of luck to all the nominees.
Here’s hoping we’ll be adding a few more shark heads to our shelf come 3rd October!
